About Me – Trauma Therapist in Dallas, Texas.
I’m Farha, a trauma therapist, healer, and host of the Take Up Space Podcast. I know what it’s like to feel lost, disconnected, or like you’re somehow “behind” in life. For years, I watched others seem to move through the world with ease while I felt deeply out of place. That sense of isolation ultimately led me to my own healing journey—through therapy, spirituality, and movement—which transformed my life and inspired the way I now help others.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Management from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Lamar University. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate based in Dallas, Texas, working under the supervision of Lauren Gastorf, LPC-S.
My work began at The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center in Plano, where I supported survivors of sexual abuse and complex trauma. Today, my passion lies in helping adults heal from trauma, increase self-awareness, and live in alignment with their highest self. My approach is person-centered at its core and integrates evidence-based modalities tailored to each individual, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing, and Expressive Arts Therapy.
I understand the sensitivity and weight of life’s challenges—and I believe therapy can be a catalyst for deep healing, positive change, and personal growth. My hope is to guide you toward greater awareness, self-compassion, and the freedom to live expansively.
